  3. Work with source control such as GIT

If this tool supported basic GIT functions, such as branching, remote repositories push\pull, stage\add it could allow managing a shared set of scripts.
If this supported GIT hub, it would allow a set of common useful scripts to be maintained by the community.

  4. Great utility but can have a lot more scripts which are useful.

Having 28 scripts is far from enough for a script manager, please include much more scripts for performance, security and DBA functions.

  6. Why not just add these scripts as snippets in Sql Prompt?

It seems like these would be easier to work with and quicker to use if they were just snippets in SSMS via SQL Prompt...

I don't really see the point of a separate app.

  7. Remember server names

Upon execution of a script a server must be selected in most cases. The pulldown list should be populated with previously entered servernames

  9. Generate scripts without local administrator permission

When I want to generate a script, I am prompted to elevate to local administrator. I can understand needing admin for an install, but generating a script should not require admin permissions.

My company requires dedicated admin accounts, so I have to input different credentials, which then means that the script generator does not have access to the same resources (mapped drives, my documents) as my local account. This makes adding a generated script a tremendous hassle and not worth the effort.

Please update the script manager with modern OS's in mind. It should not require admin routes for a…

  10. Allow Users to change the Script Title "Font Color" from RED to something easier on the eyes

I've found that I group scripts I've add personally with a leading underscore prefix so I can easily see RG's original scripts vs. scripts I have added. I do the same with the name of each author, as well as any .png files I've added.
Unfortunately when we add our own scripts the font for the script title changes to RED, which is really hard on the eyes. I understand RG wants to color code the user added content, and I'm ok with keeping it a separate color, but please help us by making this a softer color option. Or…

  11. Proxy connections

Proxy at work requires authentication and I am unable to use addin. It never logs in, never shows an error message basically the addin does nothing when I am behind the proxy. the only way I can use it is connected at home with no proxy but thats not much use since I have no servers at home.

  12. Add views to the table control and/or create a view control

The control for table includes tables only and does not include user defined views. There is no control that gives a dropdown of views. You could make the table control configurable: tables only/views only/both tables and views. And/or create a separate view control.

  13. Make the xml document separate from the script

If the xml document is a separate entity from the sql script that would still allow scripts to be dropped in the folder as is and visible but with no propertes. Just add an optional form that creates an xml document with the same name with all the desired properties such as title, description, owner, and so on.

  14. Add a button; open in SSMS or copy to clipboard

This should be added under the preset combobox / open button, and will greatly enhance the speedyness of this fine app :)

  15. Allow for server paths for network sharing the repository. I.E. \\servername\path\path\xxx

Well, I cannot figure out how to make the repository available to all the DBAs. There is no option to paste in a path like \\servername\path\etc

You can only choose a folder on your drives or make a new folder on a drive locally. I have the current version loaded.

Was this written by a Ma and PA operation with 4 employees?

    This is no good.

  20. Choose Servers from SQL Central Management Server

I've created a Central Management Server in SQL and it would be nice to have an option or preference to set the server list to choose from it.
