This is a great util. It would the best tool ever if you could just cut and paste our own code in it instead of having to play with XML files. There was a tool called CodeKeeper that had the ability to cut and paste our custom code into it and it made it great and easy to use.
Now with the easy to add code function the next thing I would add is a easy way to upload our custom code to your site for you and others to share and use. Kind of like facebook but for SQL scripts :)
Just my 2 cents worth.
We now have a beta version of a UI tool to help people generate scripts for use in SQL Scripts Manager. If you’re interesting in trying it out, here’s a link to it:
There’s also an article about using it at http://www.simple-talk.com/sql/sql-tools/fast-and-free-sql-scripts-managers-script-generator/

Thanks for the feedback. This is quite similar to another piece of feedback, where I’ve posted some links to help the process of creating new scripts a bit easier (see http://sqlscriptsmanager.uservoice.com/forums/91553-sql-scripts-manager/suggestions/1325871-make-adding-own-scripts-more-easy-graphical-to-d?ref=comments ).
On your point about sharing the scripts via a website, this is currently supported. On the Help menu, if you select “Find New Scripts”, you’ll be taken to a page on the SQL Server Central script wiki ( http://www.sqlservercentral.com/Scripts/rgtool/ ) which will allow you to both upload new scripts wrapped up into .rgtool files, as well as download any that have been contributed there. For eg, currently there are 6 addition scripts available for download as .rgtool files, that can be run in SQL Scripts Manager.
Please do keep the feedback coming!
